Advisories

CAPI: Centre for Advanced Paranormal Investigation is aware of a program called The Mystery of: The Deane House Vortex. While we question the "facts" presented, our major concern is having the CAPI name and our copyright material associated with this program.

The original CAPI (Calgary Association of Paranormal Investigations) logo and certain information from the CAPI site was used without our consent or authorization. There is also a "CAPI Investigator" mentioned and used as a voice-over. This person is completely unknown to us.

We warn anyone viewing this program on various CTVglobemedia Television outlets (Space, CLT, etc) to understand that CAPI had nothing to do with its production nor was CAPI compensated in any way for the use of our copyright material.

What are those things that go "bump" in the night?

Ghosts, spirits, demons, poltergeists - all seem to be used as interchangeable terms to encompass any paranormal activity that someone may be having. However, they are all very different things. The common denominator is that they are all paranormal in nature.

The definitions in bold are from the Encyclopedia of Occultism and Parapsychology. CAPI definitions, based on our research and documentation, are below each entry.
